Rangaswamy is the Managing Director of Chandra Textiles and moving force behind the Coimbatore Zoological Park and Conservation Centre, (to be named the Nilgiri Biosphere Conservation Park NBCP soon) a zoo being constructed just for animals and plants of the Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve. Srinivasan, is the Director of the Annapoorna Gowrishankar Group of Hotels and Managing Director of the Annapoorna Department Store in Coimbatore with a keen interest in wildlife conservation. He is a founder member of the upcoming Coimbatore Zoological Park. Age 40 Years Studies Diploma in Hotel Management Ms. Sally R. Walker - Secretary Ms. Sally Walker is a renowned wildlifer and zoo conservationist and founder of the Zoo Outreach Organisation. She works voluntarily and has been working in this field in India for the past 17 years. She is supported by her parents in USA as her father is a keen animal lover with a passion for wildlife and anything in the natural world. Age56 Years Studies B.A. (Political Science) Mrs. R. Nandini - Treasurer Mrs. R. Nandini is the Managing Director of Chandra Textiles and Managing Partner of Chandra Hyundai Automotives Ltd. She is also a force behind and an active member of the Coimbatore Zoo Committee. She is founder of People for Animals PFA in Coimbatore. She is involved as founder or behind the scenes mover and shaker of many, many commercial and social and educational organisations in Coimbatore. Age38 Years Studies Higher Secondary Members Dr. Jacob V. Cheeran MVSc. Dr. Jacob V. Cheeran is Professor, College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Kerala Agricultural University, Trichur. Dr. J.V. Cheeran is a well-known elephant veterinarian in Kerala, co-founder of the Elephant Welfare Association, Trichur and former member of the Central Zoo Authority, MoEF. Mr. Rahul Walawalkar Mr. Rahul Walawalkar is Manager at Tata Infotech. He is incharge of the energy management initiatives for Tata Infotech all over India and is also looking after I-GEMS (Ideas Generation Evaluation and Monitoring System) programme as part of the new product development. He was also working closely with the Sangli Municipal Council for improving the condition of the Pratapsinh Udyan Zoo and for getting the lions from the zoo transferred to other zoos. Dr. S. Paulraj, Divisional Forest Officer, Tamil nadu Forest Department Dr. Paulraj is a active member of various conservation organisations and a keen officer in the Tamil Nadu Forest Department. He was Dy. Director of the Arignar Anna Zoological Park, Chennai and maintains a keen interest in zoos, conservation biology and wildlife studies. Mrs. Vijayalakshmi Rudrappa Mrs. Vijayalakshmi Rudrappa is the President of a local environment group in Coimbatore working with city officials in protecting the environment. Dr. L.A.K. Singh, Research Officer, Similipal Tiger Reserve, Orissa Dr. L.A.K. Singh was one of the first scientists in India to work on crocodiles and other reptiles in India. He is a respected field biologist and is consultant editor for various scientific journals. Mr. A. Venkatesan Mr. Venkatesan is Senior Vice President at PRICOL, a Coimbatore based auto precision tools manufacturers. He supervised computer facilities, training and working in the organisation in the initial years on behalf of his Chairman, Vijay Mohan.
